This project seeks to significantly reduce waste generation through prevention,
reduction, reuse, and recycling. Through education and encouraging behavior change, it works
with restaurants and public schools in the southwest area of Puerto Rico to promote waste
prevention, reuse, composting, and recycling of materials, thus driving the adoption of
sustainable practices that contribute to a green and circular economy where resources are used
efficiently and waste is minimized, generating tangible, scalable, and replicable solutions in the
community.
